Privacy policy

I am committed to protecting individual and organisational privacy. All client information I collect is held securely. My focus is on increasing individual and organisational wellbeing, while protecting the privacy of everyone involved.

Information I may collect, hold, use or disclose is bound by the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles, and the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

What information is collected?

Client information includes names, phone numbers, workplace addresses, assessments, reports, support plans and other information relevant to the service requested.

Why is information collected and how is it used?

Information collected is used only for the purpose for which you provide it. For example, to assess, plan and review support for staff and students.

To continually improve the service I provide, I engage in regular supervision. Confidentiality is maintained by removing/altering any identifying details. In order to provide a further layer of confidentiality, in some instances I engage with inter-state rather than intra-state supervision. If this is your preferred option, or you prefer me not to seek supervision about the service I’m providing, please contact me.

If I wish to use your information for any other purpose, such as education and training or publication, I will ask for additional consent.

Who can request access to information?

Clients may ask for their information at any time. Requests for a copy of information will be responded to within fourteen days. A one-off consultation appointment may be required to discuss file content.

Requests by third parties for client information will be subject to approval of the client.

Two exceptions apply: if failure to disclose information would place a person at risk; or if information sharing is legally required as a result of a subpoena.
